Is there a parent or student portal?
Yes. Students have access to a dedicated portal where they can view their timetable, pending assignments, attendance summary, exam results, and fee invoices. Parents receive automated notifications for absences, fee dues, and announcements.
How does the fee management module work?
You define fee structures per class or programme (tuition, lab fees, hostel, transport, etc.). The system generates invoices automatically at the start of each term. Payments are recorded against the invoice and a receipt is issued. Overdue invoices are flagged and payment reminders can be sent automatically.
Does the system support all exam types?
Yes. GridX SCM supports Quiz, Assignment, Midterm, Final, Practical, Viva, Project, Presentation, Internal, and External exam types. You can define custom marking schemes per exam and the system calculates GPA and generates report cards automatically.
What roles and permissions are available?
GridX SCM supports role-based access control. Default roles include Super Admin, Campus Admin, Teacher, Accountant, Librarian, Hostel Warden, and Student. Each role sees only the modules relevant to their function. Custom roles can be configured for your institution.
